Jean Paul Gaultier, the enfant terrible of French fashion, has signed a license agreement for children’s wear with France’s Zannier Group.
The first collection, consisting of about 120 pieces for girls and boys ages two to 14, is to be unveiled to the trade in January for fall 2009. The name of the collection, and other details, have yet to be disclosed. Zannier, founded in 1962, produces and distributes kids’ wear under about 20 brands, including Little Marc Jacobs, Levi’s, Kenzo and Oxbow.
